After another successful season this summer, we have already planned at least 3 shows for the next year: "Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some!)"; "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe"; and "Cotton Patch Gospels". Details will appear on the Coming Up page as they become available.

Plenty! South County Players is a diverse group of men, women and children committed to bringing theater to the Vicksburg area. We have been active since 1995. We meet monthly, and currently produce two plays a year, as well as radio dramas, dinner/dessert theater, and educational opportunities for area children. If you are a member of our group, please feel free to email the webmaster with photos and stories that you would like to contribute. If you are visiting -- welcome!
Each summer we present one production featuring a predominantly adult cast. For 2009 we performed "Robert Fulghum's All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergerten". In 2010, we prformed the Noel Coward classic "Blithe Spirit."
This Christmas, we will perform "Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some!)". In July of 2011 we will perform "Cotton Patch Gospels".
During the summer we involve children from school age to adolescence in a full production. For 2009 we performed "The Wizard of Wobbling Rock". In 2010 we performed "The Wind in the Willows".
For 2011, we plan to perform "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe".
For 2009 we performed "Some Show About a Murder" at Indian Run Golf Course Clubhouse.
We have performed a radio version of Dicken's "A Christmas Carol" in the past, and are planning other radio plahys in the future.
In the past, we have performed theater workshops in conjunction with local Girl Scout troops, and children's theater workshops in the Vicksburg Public Library. Watch this space for future activities as they are announced.
